Verizon has updated their Home Connect device. It is very similar to the older device, except in color - the new design is white - please see attached.
We've received a number of complaints that the new device will not allow our Communicator 2.0, Communicator 1.0, or the Commbox to make out going calls for alarms. After testing, we have found that these devices are not identified properly by Verizon when activated. They are incorrectly setup as jetpacks, which are used for Data, not Voice. If you are experiencing issues with this new device, please call 800-992-0204, provide the number your device has been assigned and ask if phone calls are allowed from your device. They will make a change in their system, and allow phone calls to be made. Attached Images
